The 2014 Thankfulness Series

I am excited to put out our first call for the 2014 Thankfulness Series.

This is our third year hosting this series on the blog.  Gratitude is a small practice that has a big impact. It is critical to our human connection, and research shows it is also linked to personal happiness.  With November now only a couple weeks away, it's time to search your heart and get those notes of appreciation on paper.

If you are interested in participating as a guest writer, please email me (kathrynfweaver {at} gmail.com) a well written post on something for which you are truly grateful. I am looking for positive pieces with specific details. Telling the story of one thing (or person) you are thankful for makes for a stronger piece than just giving us a list of many things you appreciate.  Photos are welcome too. Aim for about 350 words (no more than 450). Bonus points if you make us laugh. And if you make us cry, that's okay too. Your post can be funny (maybe you’re grateful for rotten tomatoes), serious (maybe you’re grateful for the stories your grandmother told you when she was sick), light (maybe you’re grateful for pumpkin muffins) or anything else. If you have your own blog I am happy to include a byline and link back to your site.

There is so much to be thankful for! This November I look forward to a hosting another cornucopia of such stories right here on Our Chateau.   For inspiration, feel free to read our Thankfulness 2013 Series Archives and Thankfulness 2012 Series Archives.
